Pipe prefabrication

Manufacturing & Prefabrication

Our manufacturing and prefabrication division fabricates steel components, modules and assemblies in controlled facilities and delivers them to site ready for installation. By maintaining strict quality and safety protocols, we provide hull sections, pipe spools, steel frames, skids and other modular units for shipbuilding, power generation and industrial projects across Europe and Asia.

Manufacturing Capabilities

We transform raw steel and plate into finished parts using a wide range of fabrication techniques:

• Cutting – Our capabilities include laser cutting, which uses a narrow, high‑temperature beam to melt metals and produces clean cuts quickly and cost‑effectively; plasma and flame cutting for thick plates up to 150 mm; waterjet cutting, which uses a high‑pressure stream of water and abrasives to cut thick metals without heat, avoiding any heat‑affected zone; and mechanical shearing for simple straight cuts on any kind of metal.

• Forming – We bend and form metal using press brakes and other methods, shaping plate and sheet metal into brackets, frames and enclosures.

• Assembly and welding – After cutting and forming, our teams assemble parts and join them through welding. We perform MIG, MAG and flux‑cored processes and conduct inspections to verify weld quality.

All fabrication is carried out by our own certified personnel, ensuring accountability, quality control and compliance with labour regulations.

Off‑site Prefabrication Benefits

Prefabrication means producing modules and components off‑site in a factory setting and then transporting them for on‑site assembly. This approach delivers significant advantages:

• Improved safety – Building components in a factory reduces exposure to common construction hazards. Working at ground level and indoors diminishes the risks of falls, being struck by objects or caught between equipment. Ergonomic workstations and climate control also improve worker comfort and reduce fatigue.

• Enhanced productivity and quality – Prefabrication in controlled environments allows workers to focus on their tasks without weather interruptions or site constraints. It improves labour productivity and reduces the need for skilled labour on site. Off‑site fabrication can compress construction schedules by allowing modules—such as bathroom pods or mechanical units—to be built while site preparation continues, then installed within hours.

• Reduced waste and environmental impact – Manufacturing components indoors helps reduce material waste, energy consumption and emissions.

• Precision and consistency – Factory environments enable greater control over measurements and tolerances; components are produced to exact specifications and fit together seamlessly during installation. Quality checks and testing can be conducted thoroughly before delivery.

• Better logistics and risk management – Prefabricated modules can be delivered just in time, reducing on‑site storage and material handling. Shifting work off‑site mitigates weather‑related delays and other unpredictable variables, while allowing labour and site preparation to proceed in parallel. These efficiencies translate into shorter project timelines and lower costs.

Our Approach

Diaspora Group provides end‑to‑end prefabrication services. We handle the entire process—from design review and materials procurement to cutting, forming, welding, testing and delivery. Our project coordinators plan logistics and schedule shipments so that prefabricated modules arrive exactly when needed, minimising disruption. Because all workers are employed directly by us, train staff on safe work practices and maintain high standards of quality and environmental performance. When the modules arrive on site, our fitting and welding teams can quickly assemble them, integrating prefabrication with our other services to deliver efficient, reliable and legally compliant projects.
