Our fitters work from detailed engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials and task sequences. They verify that components meet specifications using squares, rulers and measuring tapes and position, align, fit and weld parts to form complete units or sub‑units. Our hull fitters follow blueprints to cut and attach large sheets of structural metal to create a vessel’s hull, and their duties include the fabrication, assembly and erection of a ship’s main structure as well as maintenance, repair and restoration. For piping systems, our pipe fitters inspect the workplace and study plans, measure and mark pipes for cutting or threading, assemble and weld components, secure pipes to walls and fixtures, order materials, and maintain or repair the system while adhering to relevant codes.
Structural steel fitters fabricate and position structural components such as beams, columns and braces. They tack‑weld fitted parts together and may operate fabricating machines—brakes, rolls, shears, grinders and drill presses—to bend, cut and form metal components. They align parts according to specifications using jacks, wedges and turnbuckles and position or tighten braces, clamps and bolts to secure assemblies.
Diaspora also employs fabrication fitters and welders to interpret drawings, assemble components and produce strong, precise joints using appropriate welding techniques. Because our teams are employed directly by Diaspora Group, we handle all recruitment, training and compliance internally. This model allows us to deploy crews quickly, maintain consistent quality and safety standards and ensure that every project is completed efficiently, on schedule and in accordance with Polish labour regulations.
